She also tells about a conversation at a party, where she meets a man who tells her he is a physicist. The he asks her what she does, and she says, "I'm a novelist." "Great," he says. "I'm planning to write a novel after I retire." "What a coincidence," she replies. "When I retire, I'm going to become a physicist." I don't tell these stories to in any way debunk the message in your post. I just want to add some perspective to it.
